Acharya Polytechnic

Acharya Patashala Polytechnic was founded in 1958 under the 2nd Five Year Plan of the Government of India and the Government of Mysore. Founded at a time when the country was experiencing acute shortage of trained technical men in the field of Engineering it started imparting education in Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. Thus seeds of APS technical education were sown about in Somanahalli in Bangalore South Taluk with the founding of the Polytechnic on a 100 acre plot of which 90 acres were a generous grant by the Government. The campus was painstakingly developed with the best infrastructure and facilities such as library and sports.
