Netaji Subhash Institute of technology

Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT), New Delhi (Hindi: ?????? ????? ???????????? ???????), is a premier engineering college in India. It is an autonomous institution of the Government of NCT of Delhi. It is affiliated to Delhi University and formally comes under the purview of Faculty of Technology, University of Delhi.

NSIT was formerly known as Delhi Institute of Technology (DIT) and had its campus at Kashmere Gate, New Delhi until 1997. The present campus is located at Sector-3, Dwarka, New Delhi - 110 078. Professor Raj Senani is currently the Director of the institute.

Until 2009, NSIT shared its admission procedure and syllabus for B.E courses with Delhi College of Engineering, both of which were prescribed by the Faculty of Technology, University of Delhi. But with the conversion of Delhi College of Engineering (DCE) into Delhi Technological University(DTU), NSIT has become the only engineering college (technical institute) of the University of Delhi.

Ever since the inception of M.Tech and Ph.D programs in NSIT, it (NSIT) is conducting these programs independently under the Faculty of Technology, University of Delhi.

NSIT has been featured in lists of the top 10 engineering colleges of India, both placements-wise and overall, by engineering education surveys conducted by bodies such as India Today, Outlook, Dataquest-NASSCOM etc
